What human guards still do better

  • Physical intervention — Robots detect and alert; they do not physically confront or restrain. Human response capability is still required.

  • Judgment in complex situations — Novel situations that fall outside training scenarios still require human assessment.

  • Community presence — In some contexts, a visible human presence has a different deterrent effect than a robot.
